we sit and curse

we sit and hope

for breeze

for love

the desires build sand castles in our hearts

we nurture dreams of drops of clear water

tearing the grey clouds

falling from the endless

onto lips dry from heat

collecting in our hands 

loosely

dripping down making sweet sounds

let them not touch the earth

let them not wet the mud

let me keep them all

and one rain, is all it takes.
